Art for a restless mind
Perhaps it's my genuine interest in soooo many different areas (aka: my inability to ever decide on anything and stick with it for very long) that draws me to mixed media pieces- they speak to my love of illustration, fabric, embroidery and paper all at once, and these pieces by Lindsay Brackeen do it so cutely, as well! 
I love these whimsical pieces, both prints and original artworks, that combine Lindsay's talented painting techniques with her love of other materials, like paper and thread. It gives an added richness, a depth in pattern and color that pops! A little crosshatch lion? Embroidered dress details?
