I am so pleased to introduce you to Cosa Verde, "a new juried marketplace where artists showcase their environmentally-friendly, handmade goods." Created by Liz Grotyohann of PICA PICA (which was an eco-friendly find here last year!), it's a great new spin on the marketplace model creating a resource for handmakers to gain valuable exposure for their work while connecting them with eco-conscious consumers. Brilliant!
The site launched only a couple weeks ago and already it's filled with a great array of eco-friendly goods for you to covet. My favorite part of the site has to be their special search function- you can browse goods by categories like "organic," "recyclable," "cruelty-free" and more.
And crafters! If you make eco-friendly products and would like to become part of this amazing new site, you can use the code "CVHEARTSMODISH" to receive a credit to open a standard storefront for two months for free. Sounds good to me! Also, Cosa Verde plants 10 trees through Trees for the Future for every new store that's opened, and will donate 10% of all subscription fees to the charity of your choice!
Whether you're in the market to find eco-friendly handmade goods, or would like a new forum to help sell yours, you're sure to love Cosa Verde!
