Happy Friday! Meaghan from Oh Ginger has organized the fiercegrrl fund for a fellow Washington, DC area crafter in need, and I thought you might be interested in helping out in one way or another...
Nicole Puzan is a 26 year old artist and crafter who was diagnosed with Stage IIIc ovarian cancer. Only 26 years old, guys! She is uninsured like many self-employed young artists, and currently faces intense chemotherapy for the next 6 months. The fiercegrrl fund was created in an effort to help raise money for both her medical and basic living expenses, as she can no longer work.
There are two ways to help! Crafty items are being auctioned off to help raise funds (first up is a necklace from Broken Plate Pendant Co!) You can bid on an item, or donate to the fund directly. Meaghan is also looking for more crafters and artists to donate items for future auctions, so that would be a great way to contribute if you can.
The craft community is notorious for coming to the aid of others during times like this, so lets keep that ball rolling!
