Day one of the Summit of Awesome? Done. And fun. Yesterday I learned a really cool screen-printing technique with Christy and went to a discussion on creative community with Isaac, both of which got me thinking and excited. And at the end of the day there was a crafty white elephant party! At first I nabbed the raddest long teal cotton scarf with a little penguin printed on the end. But that got stolen, of course. And stolen again. And ended up with Jen Neitzel (scarf stealer) above. I ended up with some stitch markers and since I don't knit, I traded with Christy, also above, for her sparkly Bike Nutz. Yes, you heard me. She was not really into them and I knew just the person who might actually use them, or at least laugh at them some more- the Mister. So, score?
Day two starts early today and is jam packed with sessions! This afternoon I'll be with Kim Werker discussing how to pitch your shop to magazines and blogs which will be broadcast live in the etsy virtual labs if you want to watch from afar!
edited to add: thanks to Sarah who let me know that mustache baby pacifer above was made by lovely Katie at Littlefoote's Lab if you're interested!
