PDX Local: Plywerk- a show & a GIVEAWAY!

Plywerk has a fantastic show opening tomorrow night at Albina Press here in Portland (at SE 50th & Hawthorne) displaying 150 pieces of art from 4 different artists, mounted on their 5x5 panels and hung in a polychromatic line that zigzags its way all around the store. Sounds awesome! Check it out in person at the opening on June 11th at 8pm, or online starting Friday morning!

And as if they weren't cool enough already, Plywerk has offered one lucky Modish reader (and nope, you don't have to be local) the chance to win:

PDX Local: Paper Treasure + A Giveaway!

Even before I moved to Portland, I was a fan of local artist Jess McCloskey's line of revamped vintage jewelry, Paper Treasure.

Inspired by "shipwrecks and the prospect of sunken treasure", the entire line is created with vintage and antique pieces, broken and cast-off jewelry bits that she transforms into intriguing and unique new items.

Today's the day!  Time to announce the three winners of the last three huge giveaways here on Modish! 

First, I want to say thank you thank you to all the artists and crafters who contributed to these giveaways, and to ALL THE INCREDIBLE giveaways I've had over the past couple years!  Yes, years!  It's kinda funny to look at the first giveaway I ever hosted back in August 2006 (what kind of horrible camera was I using??) I still remember all those wonderful contributors and am so thankful they put their faith in me with their creations! 

It's been a long and fun run, but I've got my eye on the future and am really hoping to find more focus next year and accomplish some new goals.  So, in an effort to free up some spare time for other plans, I've got to say bye bye to giveaways like these.  I've enjoyed them all though, and I've so enjoyed having you readers take part in them.  Thank you all!!
